Hello, Crafters.
I’m still not making much, if any, progress with my toothache. I’ll be phoning my dentist shortly because I’d like him to check to see if there’s a reason why it’s taking so long to settle.
Despite going back to bed for three hours yesterday afternoon, I did manage a little bit of crafting. This is the card I told you yesterday that I had in my mind. The elf is from the #Elfie Stamp Set and has the words NO PEEKING underneath his image. I had to fussy cut the elf so it was easy enough to cut the words off.
I stamped the elf using StazOn Ink and coloured him using the following Stampin’ Write Markers: Real Red, Basic Black, Soft Suede and the retired Blush Blossom (which I believe is either the same or almost the same as Petal Pink – I haven’t replaced my dried out marker yet so I haven’t been able to test whether I’m right on not!).
I used the Delicata Golden Glitz Ink for the bell on the elf’s hat and Dazzling Diamonds on his hat and jacket cuffs. The glue I used for the glitter was the Fine Tip Glue. The coffee mug is from the Cup of Cheer Dies which co-ordinates with the the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set, which is where the sentiment came from.
I didn’t get as far as decorating the inside of my card, except for adhering a layer of Real Red and then a layer of Whisper White cardstock. I’m planning on creating another little elf and have him peeking over the bottom of the Whisper White layer!
The Whisper White Cardstock layer on the front of my card was embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynaic Embossing Folder. I think this little elf is great and can be used with many other stamp sets. Just wait until I’m feeling 100% again, and I’m sure I can show you some more ideas!
That’s it from me today, I look forward to being back with you tomorrow feeling full of the joys of spring again! In the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
