Hello, Crafters.
Today we’re celebrating Harvest Festival at our Church. This is the first time I’ve celebrated Harvest time with my new Church, because I joined in November last year. All the food that gets donated will be taken to our local Food Hub. After today’s service we’ll be having a Shepherd’s Pie lunch together. The lunch is being organised by one of the ladies in our house group. Janet has asked several members of the congregation if they’d make a Shepherd’s Pie, and she asked me if I’d mind making one that’s gluten-free. We’re both really looking forward to lunch today!
As well as making a Shepherd’s Pie yesterday, I also had to make today’s video, which is a bit different from normal! The reason it’s different – in fact, hopefully a one-off! – is that I made a mistake, corrected it, and then made the same mistake again! I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been away from my studio too long, or if I’m still a bit jet-lagged, but I couldn’t believe what I did!

This is the tree I made the mistake on. Although it is very clear to see that the sides don’t match, I don’t think it’s an obvious mistake!
After I’d made the mistake a second time, I decided to leave the mistake in. I took it as an opportunity to show my viewers what the card would look like that particular bit was done wrong. The more I looked at it the more I thought, it didn’t really notice anyway! See what you think.

On this card, I did the Christmas Tree on the inside of the card correctly, but it can be seen by a small amount.
My deisgn included backing the Christmas Trees on the back i.e. on the inside of the cards. The die cuts are not asymmetrical so the “front” of the tree had to be used as the “back” of the tree when adhered on the inside of the card. On the middle card, I used the “front” of the tree, so I quickly die-cut a replacement. Then I went ahead and did exactly the same again! DOH!!
Photographs two and three show the difference between the card made correctly and the card with the boo boo. The more I look at the boo boo, it becomes less and less of a problem! What do you think?
That’s it from me today. I wish you a very blessed Sunday, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.

Very pretty card Jan. It is a bit time consuming, but the outcome you get is beautiful. TYFS
Many thanks, Claire. xx
Love, Love, Love the card. But can we see what the inside looks like, please?
Many thanks, Barbara. I’ve responded to your question above! xx
I’m sorry. Didn’t see that it was a video until after I posted my comment. So glad to see the inside was just white as I couldn’t figure out how you could have stamped that tree in reverse. LOL
Hi, Barbara. I should have shown the inside of the card – I normally do – because I appreciate not everyone watches videos. Happy crafting, JanB. xx
