Hello, Crafters.
I visited my dentist yesterday and he confirmed what I suspected, and that is I have an infection where I had my tooth out last Monday. He’s given me some stronger antibiotics and painkillers which I hope will kick in soon! I couldn’t think of a card for today and I was flicking through Pinterst. I saw this beautiful card made by Su Mohr whose website is www.aromaandart.com.
I’ve changed some very minor details but making cards doesn’t get much easier than this! The background trees are a sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Feels Like Frost pack. I added the Dazzling Diamonds to the trees. I still haven’t tried our new Ice Glitter, but I will do once I feeling more like my self again.
I stamped the penguin using Black Stazon Ink, and I found I achieved a much better result if I didn’t press too hard on the stamp. By stamping too hard, the penguins eye disappeared! The scarf has been stamped in Rococo Rose, and like the penguin, has been fussy cut! Neither image was difficult. The sentiment is also from the Playful Penguins Stamp Set.
I painted a very small Basic Pearl using my Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend and put it on the penguins eye; it adds another little bit of a shine. The “ground” the penquin is standing on has been created with a stamp from the set! To decorate the inside of my card I added a layer of Basic Black Cardstock and a top layer of Whisper White Cardstock. I added another penguin and scarf, but not the Basic Pearl eye as it’s inside the card. This stamp set is so totally adorable!
That’s it from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorroww. In the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
