Hello, Crafters.
The card featured in today’s video was shared on my blog last Wednesday, and I was requested if I’d show how I made it! I’m always happy to accept requests, but I was particularly happy to accept this one! Why? Because it gave me the opportunity to correct three areas I wasn’t happy with my original card! These are the embossing on the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper (DSP), the colour on the gifts was too pale, and re-decorate the inside of the card.
I’m so much happier with my take-two card, largely because I have been able to make the colours of the gifts far more intense. This was achieved by using my Stamparatus to stamp the gifts. I re-decorated the inside of the card by copying the bottom section of the front of the card, and as far as the embossing is concerned, I embossed the Very Vanilla Cardstock (CS) layer before adhering the Toile Tidings DSP.
When using my Stamparatus, I prefer to use small ink spots rather than full-size ink pads. Uninked Stampin’ Spots (141822) can be found on page 180 in the Annual Catalogue, and they come in a pack of 5. During the video, I showed one of two boxes I’ve made to store my ink pads, plus the Velcro daubers I use to hold the ink spots. This is the link for video no. 346 Stamparatus: Ink Spot Storage & Much More.
I wish you a very blessed Sunday and look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx

Beautiful card, Jan. I had a thought about the green “branches” you used. SU make this lovely leaf ribbon (horrendously expensive here in Australia but beautiful – I splashed out) – do you think that that ribbon would be ok to use as I don’t have the dies. XX Mal
Many thanks, Mal. Yes, I have some of that ribbon. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work accept there’s a lot of “twine” between each of the leaves. If you decide to give it a go, I’d love to see it!. xx
Will do, Jan. May have to double up on the leaves – perhaps cut some off and place in-between the vine. There is a lot of “space” on the ribbon – I agree. XX M
