Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday I found a disadvantage of making 101 swaps for Onstage! That is, it takes a very long time to video the 100 swaps I came back with! There were actually 97 swaps because I put one on the display board, and I omitted to include three swaps in the video that were sitting on my desk in front of me! I will show these three in my blog on Sunday morning so it’s at the same time that the video goes live!
Today’s card was inspired by the swap I received from Sabine Lehmacher from Germany. Sabine’s card was in Mossy Meadow Cardstock (CS) and she had used Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper (DSP). I chose Cherry Cobbler (CS) and Christmastime is Here DSP. The reason we do swaps is to inspire each other, and Sabine’s card certainly inspired me.
I used Gold Foil (Sabine used Copper Foil) and I added the five Gold Foil corners on the front page of the card. The stars and the corner dies are all from the Stitched Stars Dies. The Merry Christmas sentiment I used is from the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set. Sabine used FROHE Weihnachten (Merry Christmas) but I don’t know which stamp set it’s from.
I heat embossed my sentiment using Gold Embossing Powder on Cherry Cobbler CS. I die-cut it using a die from the Stitched Labels Framelits dies and layered it on Gold Foil die-cut I’d created using another die in the same set. On the first page inside, I used another sentiment from Cup of Christmas i.e. WISHING YOU A CHRISTMAS FILLED WITH LOVE & HAPPINESS, and heat embossed it using Gold Embossing Powder.
I wanted to follow the stitched dies theme through to the middle of the card and decided to use the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered a Whisper White CS layer to a Gold Foil layer and decorated the bottom right-hand corner with a small stitched star. I’m really pleased with how my card has turned out, but I think I prefer the clean and simple look of Sabine’s card, which I forgot to photograph, but you’ll be able to see it in the video on Sunday.
That’s it from me today. I hope you have a great weekend, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.

This is such a unique card Jan. Very lovely. TYFS
Many thanks, Claire. I’m glad you like it. xx
Brilliant….definitely one I want to CASE.
Many thanks, Barbara. I was happy with how this card turned out. xx
I would love to know the measurements of the card base and where to score it……lovely card..Cathy
Hi, Cathy. I used 5.75″ x 12″, scored at 4″ and 8″. I needed to slice a tad off the edge of the panel that folded inside. I have also worked out measurements for A4 and US cardstock, but I haven’t tested them. If you try one of these, please do a test on a scarp of paper first!
This is a “copy and paste from my Facebook page: “If you want to use US size cardstock you should be able to score at 3 5/8 and 7.25″ which will leave the 3rd panel as 3.75″ wide, so it’d be the front panel. If you try this, try it on a scrap of paper first.”
This is another “copy and paste” from my Facebook page: “I think for A4 you’d need to score at 3 7/8″; 7 3/4″ which would leave your last panel 3 3/4″ + a tad! But do try a scrap first!”
I hope this helps. Enjoy. xx
