Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday I had fun with the Most Wonderful Time Designer Series Paper (DSP). I’m not sure what it is but I find this particular design, with all the gifts, especially attractive. I decided to use it as the main feature of today’s card, I decided to put a ribbon around the middle from side to side and from top to bottom and finish with a bow on the top. The idea has worked well but it would look far more striking if I’d used red ribbon and, possibly red ink for the sentiment! The ¼” Gold Shimmer Ribbon (152156) I’ve used comes as part of the Christmastime Is Here Suite which is now available to purchase. Note: the products in this suite are available as two different bundles or as individual products – you have choices! The sentiment I’ve used is from the Toile Christmas Stamp Set, and I stamped it using the Delicata Golden Glitz Ink.
I die-cut the sentiment using the matching die from the Christmas Cardinal Dies. If you want the stamp set and dies, they’re available as a bundle which saves 10% off the individual prices. After I’d die-cut the sentiment, I die-cut a shape in Gold Foil to be used as a layer for the sentiment. Using my Paper Snips I cut off the narrow white border left behind when I’d die-cut the sentiment! This made it small enough to allow a small edge of Gold Foil to show all around the edge!
I adhered the sentiment on Dimensionals in the centre of my card where the ribbons cross over. I added three Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (152155) to the centre of the sentiment. This is another product that forms part of the Christmastime Is Here Suite. Where I’ve shown a product code number, it refers to the individual product only.
To decorate the inside of the card I added a layer of Gold Foil and then a layer of Whisper White Cardstock. (CS). For the actual decoration part, I cut a one-inch strip of the same DSP used on the front of the card and adhered it across the bottom of the Whisper White CS layer. That’s about it from me today. I hope you have a super weekend, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow.
In the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx

Very lovely card Jan. There doesn’t need to have much done to the front as the paper is just beautiful on its own. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it before, but I as well do like how you give us a glimpse of the inside of your cards. Gives us ideas and inspiration. I know others have commented as well. TYFS
Many thanks, Claire. Sometimes I get for the inside of my cards – like today’s card! But the strip of DSP works. xx
Love your card! The paper really the card front. I
Many thanks, Etta. There’s something about the design on that sheet of DSP that really appeals to me! xx
