Hello, Crafters.
Stampin’ Up! Europe really excelled themselves yesterday! At 9.29 am yesterday morning, I received my order that I’d placed on Tuesday! It means I received my goodies less than 48 hours after I’d placed my order. Considering the parcel had to travel from Germany to the UK, it’s absolutely mind-blowing. Many thanks Stampin’ Up! for the excellent service – one very happy demonstrator here!
I changed my plans for the day once my parcel had arrived! Instead of videoing the swaps I received last week, I spent most of my day getting my new products labelled, dies and punches all checked, and everything prepared to be filed correctly on 2nd January 2020. Once I’d finished everything, it went back into the box and will stay there until nearer the time!
The cards I’m sharing with you today are Thank You cards I made using the Scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes (149610) which are available from the Annual Catalogue on page 168. They come as a pack of twenty cards and twenty envelopes in Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Light Pink and Terracotta Tile (five of each) which will go be a good start to making the large number of thank you cards I send out each month.
As well as sending an unused thank you card to each of my customers, I tend to use them like business cards when I send out catalogues. The cards are always unused and always have an envelope. If I want to write a note, I write it on a Post It Note and adhere it on the outside of the card! As you can see this is the second day running when I’ve decorated the envelopes! It’s highly unlikely it will become a regular feature!
The stamp set I used is the very delightful We’ll Walrus Be Friends (149367). I stamped the image on Whisper White Cardstock (CS) using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Yesterday I made five cards in Terracotta Tile and one in Old Olive. Today I’ll make up all the other cards, too and will paint all the images in the same way. That is, using the following Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Smokey Slate, Light and Dark Pool Party, Light Seaside Spray.
I also stamped the fish in Memento Ink and coloured them to match the card, except for the Terracotta Tile card. We don’t have a Blend in Terracotta Tile so I used a Dark Cajun Craze which worked brilliantly! I die cut the image with the Stitched Shape Dies, circle no. 2, and layered it onto a Stitched Shape circle no. 3 I had die-cut from the same 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and has been punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I punched out a layer the same size and cut it in half so a piece can be seen either end of the sentiment. The sentiment and image were both adhered to the card front using Dimensionals. The one-inch strip of DSP was adhered on the back of the card, so it can be seen from the front of the card, using Tombow.
I could have adhered the strip behind the front of the card, but I decided with it on the back of the card it didn’t need any more decoration on the inside! To finish off my Thank You cards, I stamped the walrus on the front of the envelope, too! I’m pleased with how these cards turned out and I think they’d make nice birthday cards as well!
Don’t forget today is the last day of the Online Extravaganza! It’s a great time to stock up on cardstock and inks! That’s about it from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorrow, and in the meantime, happy crafting.

These are so cute Jan. When I make my envelopes I, 98% of the time, always decorate them, either with a stamped image or a die cut very well glued to the envelope. Most times you always get a plain envelope with the address on it. If I make them, & go through that trouble, then I’ll embellish it somehow. I like what you have done. Looking forward to your new projects.
I think it finishes off a card beautifully, especially if the inside has been decorated, too! xx
