Hello, Crafters!
Today is the start of the Year-end Closeout Event, and also Tombow will be available in Europe. Please check out both of these offers in my online shop if you’re one of my customers or would like to be. Please note that the Closeout products are while stocks last, so if you see something you’d like please get it now because some products will sell out really quickly. The Closeout Event is available in all three markets but products availablility will vary from market to market.
Today’s card was made with products from the Christmastime is Here Suite, which includes a rubber stamp that’s identical to an image included in the Designer Series Paper (DSP). I decided to go the easy route and die-cut the DSP image. I adhered it to two layers of Thick Whisper White Cardstock (CS) that I’d also die-cut because I wanted to pop the image up on Dimensionals over some ribbon, and I wanted it thicker than DSP.
I also fussy cut another centre-rose so I could pop it up on the main rose with Dimensionals to give the image added depth. As far as possible I didn’t cut off any of the gold edging, but in places it was unavoidable. Fr example where there was a pine cone touching the rose. I went round all the edge of the rose with my Gold Sharpie Pen. It worked brilliantly!
The ribbon is the Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon which is available from the Christmastime is Here Suite. As I was looking at the flyer to get the correct name for the ribbon, I saw the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and decided they’d finish my card off beautifully! So I stopped, added three medium Dots in each of the top left-hand and bottom right-hand corners. What a difference? Taking the photographs and editing them is time-consuming, so I’ve only taken one of the finished card!
Using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, I went over the two roses, and all the berries. As always, they look great in real life but can hardly be seen in the photographs. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, and has been stamped in the Delicata Gold Ink. I punched it out usung the Classic Label Punch and adhered it on the front of the card with Mini Dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of my card I added a layer of Whisper White CS. Next I chose one of the flower, pine cone, leaves clusters that was on the edge of the DSP. I fussy cut around the edge as best as I could, and adhered it along the bottom edge of the Whisper White CS layer! It was a little bit short, so I chose another cluster and fussy cut an extra piece of leaves, cones, etc. and adhered it at the end of the first piece! A very pleasing card!
After a bit of a rough weekend, I went to see my doctor yesterday who diagnosed that I have shingles! I had been worrying about it over the weekend because the pain was quite bad, and I had all kinds of thoughts going through my mind. It wasn’t until I was getting ready for bed on Sunday evening that I realised it was probably shingles. I felt such a surge of relief knowing it was something that could be dealt with. Thank our Lord.
I started my medication yesterday, and have been warned I’ll probably feel drowsy. And yes, I certainly do! Well, that’s one day done, only another six to go! ☺ That’s about it from me today! Happy shopping in the Closeout Event! I look forward to being back with you tomorrow, and in the meantime, happy crafting.

Beautiful card Jan. Love how you did the ribbon, different. I also love the colors. TYFS
Many thanks, Claire. I love the gold ribbon because it’s a subtle gold rather than a shiny metallic gold. xx
