Hello, Crafters.
Next month Stampin’ Up! are introducing a Co-ordination Product Release that co-ordinates with products in the Sale-a-bration Brochure or the Mini Catalogue. The products will be available to purchase from 4th February 2020 until 31st March 2020 while stocks last. Please see the video below to see the products which will be available. For the European prices, please see the attached Price List.
Demonstrators have been able to pre-order the products so we have a chance to play with them so we can answer our customers’ questions. My three favourite products are dies which go with he following stamp sets: Special Someone, Little Ladybug and Happy Birthday to You. The other three products are dies to go with two more stamp sets, i.e. Positive Thoughts and Sending You Thoughts; yes, I bought these as well!
Last but by no means least there is a pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that co-odinates with four of our punches, i.e. the Tulip Builder, the Heart Pack, Umbrella Builder and the small Sale-a-bration Bloom Punch. I don’t have the Umbrella Punch so I’ll be doing a bit of fussy cutting! LOL! Please check out this flyer to see which products go with which in the Co-ordination Product Release.
Yesterday I had a play with the Ladybug Stamp Set and matching Ladybugs Dies. I’m quite happy fussy cutting but dies do save an amazing amount of time! The first Ladybug card I made was just before I made Sunday’s video and then I made a card to share today. I started with a Whisper White Cardstock (CS) card and then a layer of Real Red CS.
I found in the box of top layers a sheet of Whisper White CS than had been embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. This was in the Christmas Catalogue but is being carried forward! I decided to cut it in half vertically and cut a piece of the Peaceful Poppies the same size. I adhered these two pieces on the Real Red CS layer and adhered a strip of retired Real Red ribbon down the join, and then glued the ends on the back of the layers.
I stamped the ladybird – that’s their UK name – and coloured it using the following Stampin’ Blends: Dark Basic Black, Light Smokey Slate, Ivory and Dark Real Red. The sentiment HAPPY BIRTHDAY is from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set. After I’d stamped the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White CS, I also stamped two of the four small ladybirds that are on one stamp, underneath the sentiment, and very carefully coloured them as best I could!
In Sunday’s video, I demonstrate how to mask a stamp if you only want to stamp a section of it. The stamp I masked was from the Painted Poppies. I added a layer of Real Red CS and a layer of Whisper White CS inside the card. I stamped and painted another ladybird in the bottom right-hand corner. This stamp set is absolutely adorable and is available for a qualifying order.
Today I have a busy day ahead of me starting with a hospital check-up, an appointment with Sharon to get my nails done and then this evening with taking our son and his girlfriend out for dinner. I also need to get my video checked and ready to be published tomorrow morning! In my blog tomorrow I’ll share my other Ladybird card with you – it isn’t the card I made during the video!
I hope you have a super weekend and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow, in the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
