Hello, Crafters.
Have you had a go playing with these dies? They are absolutely amazing! There are sixteen in the set and I have used all of them on today’s card. The only die I’m not too sure about is the die I’ve used inside the card. When I first saw what this die produced, I didn’t think it was obvious they were meant to be poppies! The last photograph shows what the unadulterated die-cut result looks like (taken from the back of my die wallet – I forgot to photograph my card before I enhanced it!)
The colours I’ve used are Poppy Parade and Real Red Cardstock (CS) for the poppies and buds, Basic Black CS for the centres and Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive CS for the leaves and sepals (bud covers). I chose Whisper White CS for the card base, Poppy Parade CS for the middle layer and Whisper White CS for the top layer. After I had stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment, which is from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set, I embossed the top layer using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
I made the same mistake I ALWAYS make when I use the Scripty Embossing Folder, i.e. I embossed my top layer upside down! If I hadn’t stamped the sentiment on the layer it wouldn’t have mattered! Rather than throw the layer away, I cut off the bottom 1¼” which has left me with a piece of Scripty embossed Whisper White CS which measures 3¾” x 4 1/8″, which I will use in another project sometime, somehow!
Inside the card, I had a layer of Poppy Parade and Whisper White CS layers but before I adhered them together, I used the die that cuts out the poppies pattern. Once I had adhered the two layers together I kept looking at the result not sure what to do next!! I was going to leave it and ask you for your feedback, but then I decided if I adhered “centres” to the flowers, they would look more like flowers. I wished I had photographed the card before I’d adhered my embellishments! But please see the last photograph as I mentioned earlier!

Love the card Jan. Those poppies are pretty big, I love them. Great color as well.
Many thanks, Claire. I agree! I would have preferred them to be a bit smaller! But they are gorgeous! xx
Such a Beautiful Card. Love it.
Many thanks, Shannon.xx
