Hello, Crafters.
Tomorrow Stampin’ Up! are offering a pre-release product for customers to buy. It’s called the Ornate Garden Suite and will be available in the new annual catalogue which goes live on 3rd June 2020. Demonstrators had the opportunity to purchase the products in this suite during March. The reasoning behind this is to allow us a chance to play with the products and get to use them so when customers start buying, we’re in a good position to answer questions.
The theory is brilliant but personally, I don’t like working with products if customers have to wait to buy them. Normally, I’m fine with this but this time it has been an effort not to make a start with the Ornate Garden suite because there are some fabulous lacy dies! Yesterday was my first play with some dies, stamps and Designer Series Paper (DSP).
The Ornate Garden Suite is available as a complete bundle, and also as mix’n’match or individual products. I bought everything except the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set although I’ve started having second thoughts about it! I didn’t buy them because there are three large stamps, i.e. THANK YOU, SO GRATEFUL and THANKS, and sixteen smaller dies with extended sentiments, e.g. JUST WANTED TO SAY in a hand-written font. I struggle getting one sentiment straight, let alone two!
To create today’s thank you card I used a piece of the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP. There are six floral designs and on the reverse of four of them, the design includes gold foiling. There are two sets of dies, i.e. Ornate Border Dies which go with the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set and the Ornate Layers Dies which goes with the Ornate Style Stamp Set. The lacy die used for today’s card and the stamped flower are both from these two products.
The six lacy dies are fabulous and come in six different sizes which range from really fancy to plain. The set also includes two dies which will die-cut a pattern in a top layer of cardstock. The possibilities with these dies are endless. I added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock (CS) behind my lacy frame to show the frame off in all its beauty. My cardstock is Blushing Bride but there aren’t any matching Blends so I used Light Calypso Coral which worked really well!
Normally I don’t decorate the inside of Thank You cards because I think space should be saved for the sender to write in. I decided to use the scroll corner stamp but it looked rather dull so I stamped the small individual flower between the bottom two scrolls, and then I added five more! I think it looks really pretty and will be great for someone who doesn’t have too much to say! LOL!
Please click on the Ornate Garden Suite to see the complete range. The prices shown are for Europe. If you’re outside this region, please contact your demonstrator to find out the prices in your currency. That’s t from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorrow, and in the meantiime stay safe, stay well and happy crafting.

Wow, love what you created with this set. I have been on the fence about this one but I think I’ll get it now. Thanks for your inspiration. I’ll have to catch your You Tube on this.
Many thanks, Nola. This suite is fabulous! See what you think about today’s card (1st April, 2020)! xx
Hi Jan. Please do a video on this card it’s gorgeous.
Hi, Caroline. I’m pleased you like this project and I’ll try to make it a video. Take care and stay safe. xx
Thank you Jan!
Your card is beautiful! I love all the layers of lace and pearls, along with the DSP papers.
Sometimes it’s hard to consider printed papers with the lace dies but you make it
easy ! This bundle is gorgeous, and looks like fun to put together. Thank you for your
demonstrations on how it’s done, and all the work that goes into it.
Have a beautiful day!

Many thanks, Janice. The DSP didn’t work until I put the Whisper White behind the Lacy die-cut and then it popped. I don’t often use the word “stunning” to describe poducts, but these lacy dies are definitely stunning! Take care and stay safe and keep happy crafting! xx
