Hello, Crafters.
When I organised our wedding last year I bought two flower hoops similar to the one on today’s card except the flowers were all white. You may have noticed I’ve added some flower buds and more leaves to the hoop since I showed you the hoop yesterday. When I put the initial flowers on there on Wednesday evening, I decided it would be easier to decide what the ring needed once I had glued it in situ!
The stamps I used were from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set. I’d set the four stamps on my Stampartus in such a way I was able to ink and stamp all four stamps six times to achieve twenty-four images! So quick, so easy and successful stamping guaranteed! Next, I coloured all the images using Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.
The bud and the single leaf images each have two dies, whereas the flower and the leaf duo have just one each in the Cherry Blossoms Dies Set. It’s when I’m working on projects like this I really appreciate having multiples of the same dies. The easiest way I found to adhere the images to the Gold Hoop Embellishments was to use Glue Dots.
I adhered a top layer of embossed Vellum to a top layer of Petal Pink CS. Using Tombow, I applied a small amount of glue all around the edge of the Vellum where there was embossed script. This had been created by the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. Normally it can be quite a challenge to adhere vellum without the glue being visible but it worked brilliantly!
After I had adhered the top layer to a Whisper White CS middle layer I tried different ribbons, cord and twine to “hang” the hoop. Eventually, I gave up because I didn’t like the look of anything! I decided I would attach the hoop to the front of the card by using Dimensionals behind the flowers and the leaves so I went ahead and adhered the layers to a Petal Pink CS card base.
I tied a small bow using the Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon – which has been brought forward from the retired catalogue – and adhered it in position using three Glue Dots. The sentiment Happy Anniversary is from the new Many Mates Stamp Set which I think will probably be my new sentiment go-to stamp set!
I die-cut the sentiment using the no. 2 rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and then popped it up on Dimensionals. My finishing touch was to add a Champagne Basic Rhinestone Jewel in the centre of each flower and also one on either side of HAPPY of the sentiment. I also painted the flowers and the leaves on the flower hoop using my Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Pen.
Inside my card, I adhered a middle layer of Whisper White CS and a top layer of Petal Pink CS. As I said at the beginning I stamped a total of twenty-four flowers, buds and leaves so I had plenty of spare to decorate the bottom right-hand corner inside the card. I chose two flowers, one double leaf and one single leaf and finished the arrangement by painting them all with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.
I’m very pleased with my finished card and I can see these hoops being popular for engagement, wedding and anniversary cards. But I think they will really come into their own for Christmas! That’s it from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorrow and in the meantime please take care, stay safe and happy crafting.
JanB. xx

Another beautiful card, Jan. I do like that stamp set. And I do love the gold hoops but wish they were available in silver also. This card is another elegant card. XXX M
Many thanks, Mal. I’d prefer silver, too. Like today’s card, I turned the gold over and used the white side! I wonder if it’s possible to change the gold to silver without wrapping itwith silver fail!! xx
That bow is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in a long time!!! Perfect for this stunning card! Please share your secret to such perfection! Thanks in advance!!
Many thanks, Lynda. I think the bow was more luck than judgement but have agreed to try and include a bow if a future video so I can show how I tie bows. I just hope it’s a lucky day! LOL! xx
Very beautiful card Jan. Love the colors. Like how you made the bow. Be safe & TYFS
Many thanks, Claire. xx
This is gorgeous, Jan. I wish I could tie a bow like you do. Have you ever shown how you do it in a video?
Karen, I so agree with you. Just commented to Jan that I so agree with your request. XX Mal
Many thanks, Mal. As I said to Karen, a lot of the time it’s more luck than judgement! I’ll try including one in a future video. xx
Many thanks, Karen. I’ve never made a video specifically showing how to tie a bow but half the time it’s more luck than judgement! I’ll try and include a bow on a project in the near future. xx
Jan, as Karen F above said, being shown how to tie “your” bow would be great thank you. I really struggle with tying bows despite having a bow maker. XX Mal
Hi, Mal. More often not it’s luck rather than judgement but I will try and include a bow in a future video…………..and hope it’s a lucky day!! LOL! xx
