Hello, Crafters.
I was left very short of time again yesterday because I was putting the final touches to the sale of my used Stampin’ Up! products. As normal I did manage some time in my studio but I’ve run out of time and don’t have enough time to talk about today’s card, but I will correct that tomorrow!
While I was searching through my old catalogues to find out the original prices of some products I noticed my old labels on the back on them and I just had to share with you! They show the original name I used, i.e. JanB – Busy Bee! I was talking on 16th June about the silver bumble bee hubby bought me for our first wedding anniversary!

Even the website was www.janb-busybee.com and I was using my old personal email address! They look so strange now!
I’ll be back with you tomorrow with details about today’s card! In the meantime, take care and stay safe.
JanB. xx
Jan, please, would you do a video on this stunning card. I can not for the life of me figure out how you have made the frame look so authentic looking. Obviously used the rectangle dies but how did you make the frame look “curved upwards” (not sure what I am meaning) but the frame looks so real. Thanks Jan. XX M
Hi, Mal. It’s a stamp from the Framed For You stamp set. Once stamped it needs to be die-cut with dies no. 5 and 9 from the Layering Squares Dies. I adhered the frame over the image using the Foam Adhesive Strips which are twice the height of Dimensionals. It’s very clever, isn’t it? xx
No way Jan. OMGoodness, it is stunning. And here I was last night (didn’t think to look at the catalogue!!!) playing around with some wood DSP and rectangle dies trying to get the effect I was seeing on your card. Used Wink of Stella – no; played with a few water colour pencils – no. You definitely got me!!!! Thanks Jan for supporting me yet again. XX Mal
I’m sorry Mal but you really made me LOL! Trust me, I wouldn’t present anything to you that I thought you would struggle with like that! xxx
I love that my “distress” caused you to laugh. You honestly had me fooled with that frame and truly I worked on it for a few hours – honestly – I loved the card so much. Actually some of what I “created” wasn’t too bad. Glad to make you laugh. XX Mal
I’m so sorry, Mal. I didn’t mean to upset you, but I really wouldn’t share something that would take so much work. xx
But Jan, I had so much fun trying to recreate your frame. Frankly I felt it was a great teaching episode for me to expand my creativity (which I can tell you I do not have much of). But truly, I really enjoyed myself experimenting. So glad to have made you laugh. XX M
Oh! I’m sorry I misread what you had said. I’m so pleased you enjoyed what I call “playing”! xx
I again love the colours of card.I have a bit of trouble choosing what colours go together best. And I love the frame, is it a stamp.
Thanks,
Cori
Many thanks, Cori. Yes it’s a stamp in the Framed For You Stamp Set. I’ve been itching to make a card using this! xx
I use to watch you when you were under that name, then all of a sudden you were gone. So glad I found you again!
Oh my goodness, Cindy! I’m so glad you found me! I’m disappointed my links didn’t forward you to my new site! But never mind, you’re here now and I’m very pleased to welcome you back. xx
