Hello, Crafters.
What an absolutely amazing day I had yesterday! The new Annual Catalogue went live and I was up at my regular time of 7 am. I decided to put in my order and everything went through perfectly! Before lunchtime, I had two new members join my Super Stars team, and one of my ladies also recruited a team member for her own team. The Pick a Bundle recruiting offer is fantastic and too much for some crafters to resist! If you’re tempted and would like to join my team, I’d love to have you on board. If you have any questions about joining or the current amazing offer, please contact me on 07889 059439 or email me on janb@janbcards.com. If you’ve already made up your mind to join me, this is the link you need to join my Super Stars Team.
I have never done a catalogue launch party, a Facebook Live nor a Zoom meeting. Last week a demo friend of mine posted an open invite for anyone to join in with her Zoom Catalogue Launch Party. I attended because I was interested to see how an online party is run. It was a great event but I’m not sure I could cope with all the technology Barbara coped with! I’m hoping to go along to her Zoom Coffee and Card Event on Saturday as well.
When the Catalogue Launch had finished it was time for me to make today’s card but I saw the global email from Stampin’ Up! notifying us that commissions had been finalised for May 2020. It normally takes up to six days so it was a thrill to receive this notification on day three. It was exceptionally exciting for me because I knew one of my ladies had promoted to Bronze Elite and one to Silver. Not only do my ladies earn Flex Points for promoting, I also earn some as well.
When I went to check how many Flex Points I had altogether I had a huge shock! As well as the two ladies I knew about, there was another lady who had promoted to Bronze Elite and another one who had promoted to Silver! These four promotions pushed me over the hurdle to earn the 2021 Incentive Trip to Maui! You may remember that I didn’t earn last year’s trip because I took my foot off the pedal to arrange our wedding so I was determined to earn this year’s trip!
This year’s trip was going to be Maui and next year a Caribbean cruise. Stampin’ Up! cancelled this year’s trip because of the pandemic, and they changed next year’s trip from the cruise to Maui. This year’s Incentive Trip earners are being compensated for the trip being cancelled and I’m thrilled the cruise next year has been cancelled in favour of Maui. After I’d found out I’d earned next year’s Incentive Trip I couldn’t settle to make today’s card!
The photograph I’m sharing with you today is the start of what was going to be today’s card! I will finish it later today so I can share it with you tomorrow. In case you haven’t noticed in the new catalogue, there are gold hoops on page 156 which co-ordinate with the Forever Greenery Suite on pages 108 – 110. My card will be using the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set and the co-ordinating Cherry Blossoms Dies.
Before I go I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all my customers and all my Super Stars who have all helped me achieve next year’s Incentive Trip to Maui. I’m so excited and I cannot thank you all enough. Hopefully, my feet will get back on the ground sometime during today but right now, I’m on cloud 9! I look forward to being back with you tomorrow, and in the meantime, please take care, stay safe and happy crafting.
JanB. xx
CONGRATULATIONS, Jan (and Othman) on achieving your trip. Well done. Next step Jan is to reach $1M so I can purchase your stamp set, send it over and get you to sign it for me. That is something I cant wait to do for myself. Your card is beautiful, Jan and I look forward to tomorrow’s email to see it finished. I am liking those gold hoops. Trust Othman is enjoying the remaining few days of his furlough. XXX Mal, Maddi, Dame Joan
Many thanks for your huge vote of confidence, Mal. I’ll never achieve $1m. It’s taken some achievers 20 years to do it and I’ve not hit 200k yet. Please do not hold your breath! LOL! xx
Congratulations on your Stampin up achievement this year ,well deserved.
I really like the card.
I haven’t been struck on this set (to much green),but this card is right up my street
Elaine Smith
Many thanks, Elaine. I think these hoops will go with any of the suites. I have the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper and I’m inclined to agree with you. I’ll just have to work harder to come up with some good designs with all that green! xx
Dear Jan,
Congratulations on your wonderful achievement! How exciting … I hear Maui is beautiful! You certainly deserve it♥️
And great news that you’ve already gotten new team members the first day of the new catalog!
Sincerely, Suzanne from SW Florida, USA
Many thanks, Suzanne. The current recruiting offer is too good for a lot of crafters my numbers are increasing! xx
Congratulations Jan
Hope you have a fantastic trip when the time comes around.
Many thanks, Jeanette. xx
You will love Hawaii. We have been there several times. Being retired military helps with the cost! Never been to Maui, but have been to Oahu and the Big Island.
Hi, Reba. Changing the cruise to Maui for me is the silver lining of the pandemic cloud! Hubby and I don’t like cruising, even if it’s on the worlds largest cruise liner and it’s going to the Caribbean! We’re hoping to fly out a week earlier and visit one of the other islands! xx
So happy for you Jan! Your cards are absolutely beautiful and your hard work and talent are being rightfully acknowledged 😊
Many thanks for your kind words, Cathy. xx
