Hello, Crafters.
Today is our first wedding anniversary! I just don’t where the year has gone especially considering we’ve been in lockdown for the best part of three months! We’re very limited for things to do today but the best idea was a drive-in cinema. Without driving into London, our nearest drive-in is two hours drive away and they’re only open in the evening! So that’s a no-no!
We’ve decided to have a day at home and, depending on the weather, get the new patio organised! Yesterday I spent my day getting my welcome packs parcelled up to send out to my new recruits. For me, the current promotion of Pick a Free Bundle has been very successful and it has taken me longer than normal to get these sent out. I also ran out of Welcome to the Team cards so I had to stop and make more!
I chose to use products from the Boho Indigo Product Medley. I started with a card base in Very Vanilla Cardstock (CS) then a middle layer of Misty Moonlight CS. I used the one of the dry embossed Very Vanilla CS sheets to cut half of a top layer as well as a design from the Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper (DSP).
I chose the sentiment WELCOME TO THE TEAM from a retired stamp set called Stamping Your Way To The Top. The verse inside the card is the Stampin’ Up! Statement Of The Heart, i.e. TO LOVE WHAT WE DO AND SHARE WHAT WE LOVE AS WE HELP OTHERS TO ENJOY CREATIVITY AND WORTHWHILE ACCOMPLISHMENTS…IN THIS WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
I decorated the sentiment on the front of the card, which I had die cut using the largest fancy die in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, using a tiny but very pretty stamp from the Boho Indigo Stamp Set. I also stamped the three flowers stamp several times on Very Vanilla CS and die-cut them using a die from a set by the same name.
I varied the designs of the cards by having the DSP at the top of some and at the bottom of others, but I did put some of the fabulous Night of Navy Ribbon across the join between the DSP and the CS. There isn’t very much visible but I have shared a close-up photograph so you can get a good idea of the beauty of this ribbon!
I have shared one of each design, but I don’t think I have a favourite. I only have one card left so I’ll make some more so I don’t get caught out again! LOL! What a lovely problem to have! I also varied how many and where I positioned the die-cut flower. That’s about it from me today. I doubt that I’ll have a card for you tomorrow but I will pop in to let you how our day today panned out.
In the meantime, please take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.
JanB. xx
