Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday was my first proper day back at “work”! In the morning I concentrated on responding to messages left for me on various media platforms and in the afternoon I started crafting. I received a beautiful thank you card from one of the lady’s in my team of SuperStars and it inspired me to make the thank you cards for my October online customers! I don’t normally make them so early in the month but I was so inspired, I had to go with it! All I need to do is the sentiment which I have already chosen and I’ve designed how I’ll be using it.
When I had finished I decided to make a thank you card to share with you today. Like the card I made for last Sunday’s video, my card is fairly plain but with lots of pearls. I used the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and the THANK YOU SNOW MUCH sentiment which is from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set. I partnered Whisper White Cardstock (CS) with some Seaside Spray CS. The dies I used for the sentiment are from the Ornate Frames Dies and added a great feature in the centre of my card.
I adhered a double strand of the Misty Moonlight & Silver Baker’s Twine around the top two layers and underneath the sentiment. The Baker’s Twine is available in the Annual catalogue on page 161 as Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. The other two trims in the combo are Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon and Just Jade Gingham Ribbon. On both sides of the twine, I’d wrapped around my card I took two shorter pieces and tied them into a knot.
Inside my card, I added a middle layer of Seaside Spray CS and a top layer of Whisper White CS. To decorate the top layer I used a stamp from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set that was made up of a selection of different snowflakes and some dots. Using Seaside Spray Ink, I stamped one image in the top left-hand corner and one in the bottom right-hand corner.
Today is day two of my new routine and is not going as planned! It should be a “work” day for me but hubby and I are going down to Southampton – it’s about an hour and forty-minute drive from where we live. Hubby is losing his company card as he is now permanently working from home. His company has offered him the opportunity to buy his company car but he decided to look around to find a car of his choice. There’s a car in Southampton he’s very interested in so we’re taking a drive down to check it out! Tomorrow I’ll let you know how we get on!
That’s it from me today. I already have a card ready to share with you tomorrow so I’ll see you tomorrow. In the meantime, please take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.
JanB. xx

Thank you Jan for the good laugh! I hear you questioning me – “my card is fairly plain but with plenty of pearls”. Jan, your cards are NEVER plain. They are always so ELEGANT. Less is more they say. I do love the simplicity and elegance of todays card, Jan. XXX M
LOL! Yes, I hear you!! I need to get back into the swing of choosing the correct words! But it’s good to laugh! xxx 🤣🤣🤣
I know you’re in the UK and postal rules are probably different from here in the US BUT can you please tell me about putting all those pearls on cards and how they go through the postal service, please? Do you put the in special envelopes? TYIA
