Hello, Crafters.
Today’s card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest and when I saw it I thought it was a very striking card and would be so easy to make! Making the first card taught me the pitfalls, what to watch out for and how to turn it into the easy card to make that it looks like! The only embossing I needed to do to create this card was the top layer and I used the Subtle Embossing Folder.
The three different embossed parcels have been made using embossed leftovers from previous projects! They’re normally the odd pieces that I normally end up throwing away because they hang around for so long they get rather dog-eared and not fit for purpose! Two out of the three designs are current embossing folders. They are Hammered Metal and Greenery.
The Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine is a retired product from way back when. I was planning to use some Cherry Cobbler Linen Thread that I had leftover from the Paper Pumpkin Joy to the World Kit. This is currently available globally while stocks last! The Blessed Christmas Wishes sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set and has been stamped using Cherry Cobbler Ink on Whisper White Cardstock (CS).
The sentiment has been die cut using a stitched die from the All Dressed Up Dies. To create my first parcels I cut three different shaped parcels and tied the Baker’s Twine in a different style on each. I went wrong because I didn’t make enough allowance for the different heights where the three parcels overlap each other.
My biggest surprise was being able to remove the upper two parcels completely without spoiling my top layer nor the lowest parcel and then I was able to remove all the remnants of the Dimensionals. I really thought I was going to go right back to step one! I had to find another two pieces of embossed cardstock but that was easy enough to do.
When I was remaking the second parcel I decided to wrap pieces of Baker’s Twine around and tape in place at the back so there weren’t any knots or twists. This helped to keep the second layer a lot lower than it was on the first card. When I was ready to add the third parcel, I did a double layer of Dimensionals but only where they went directly onto the top layer of the card front.
Now I can say this is an easy card to make and is a very striking card! I didn’t decorate the inside of the card although I did add a top layer and a middle layer of Whisper White CS. I finished off the front of the card by adding Basic Rhinestones on all three parcels and also in the top left-hand and bottom right-hand corners.
That’s about it from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorrow, and in the meantime please take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.

Sensational, simple, effective. Thanks for the tips! White on white is quite attractive!
Many thanks, Billie. I think white on white is my top favourite combo! (Not sure if I can call it a combo! LOL!) Purity! xxx
Morning Jan. Such a pretty card and one you could use for Birthday’s as well. Just love the elegance of white on white. Blessings to you both and I hope you are both coping with your lockdown. We are covid free here in Victoria – I think due to our very hard 5 month lockdown. XXX Mal
