Yesterday Stampin’ Up! announced a ONE DAY FLASH SALE on Tuesday, 24th November 2020. The sale is 10% off nearly AL:L products in the current Annual Catalogue. I will put a list at the bottom of this post to show you what isn’t included in the sale. The sale in the UK starts at 11 pm on Monday 23rd November and ends at 10.50 pm on Tuesday 24th November 2020. This is a great time to check your stash and your wish list to see what you need and then to make the most of this sale! JUST IN: Although it isn’t in the Annual Catalogue, the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit is included in the Flash Sale!
I think the Dove of Hope Stamp Set is my favourite for Christmas 2020! It is so easy to design a Christmas card around each or both of the doves and finished off with PEACE ON EARTH. The images are very easy to fussy cut even though there are matching dies for them, so if fussy cutting isn’t your thing, the dies work brilliantly! I was working on a card yesterday that I’d seen on Pinterest made by a demonstrator friend of mine, Laura Mackie.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stamp the sentiment using Seaside Spray Ink or Smokey Slate Ink. I stamped the blue first onto a piece of Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) and decided I’d rather have the grey and went ahead and made the card. I’ll share that with you another day. 😀 When I had finished my card, I took the other piece of Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) that had the blue stamping on it.
It was about two inches wide. I found two Whisper White Cardstock (CS) die cuts of the “handles” from the All Dressed Up Dies and adhered one down each side of the DSP. Next I trimmed it to about five inchess long. I flagged the end using my Triple Banner Punch. Next I took a top layer of Seaside Spray CS and embossed it using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I adhered this layer to a middle Whisper White CS layer and then adhered it to a Seaside Spray CS card base. Next I adhered my banner to the card front using Tombow.
Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the small dove and the branch onto a piece of Whisper White CS using Smokey Slate Ink. I used my Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker Pen to colour the leaves and the Smokey Slate Marker for the beak. When I made my first card I fussy cut the dove and the branch and decided to do the same for this card. Using Dimensionals, I adhered the Dove in position and then painted him using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.
I finished decorating the front of the card by adding a vertical line of three large Blue Adhesive-backed Gems in the top right-hand corner and three small Blue Adhesive-backed Gems vertically in the bottom left-hand corner. Inside the card I adhered a middle layer of Whisper White CS and then a top layer of Seaside Spray CS. To decorate the top layer I stamped the dove in the bottom right-hand corner and painted him using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. I forgot to paint the leaves with my Pear Pizzazz Marker Pen and the beak with the Smokey Slate Marker Pen but I did them after I had taken the photographs.
