Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday afternoon I made all eight cards from my Paper Pumpkin (PP) Joy to the World Kit. I’ve been looking forward to getting my hands on this kit!
I made a total of eight different cards – two as per the instructions and six of my own designs! The kit is brilliant! The only two products I added was some Bronze Foil Cardstock (CS) and some embellishments!
If you’re new to PP Kits, they are all-in-one card making kits which provide you with everything you need except blocks for your stamps and scissors. In Joy to the World there are eight Crumb Cake CS card bases which have a broken stripe Brass Foil design on the card fronts – four with horizontal stripes and four with vertical stripes. Although the instructions show all the cards with the stripes horizontal, you can use them which ever way you’d like to. There are also five sheets of images, although you only need four. The fifth sheet is provided just in case…………………………….!
Also provided in the box are eight lined envelopes, a sheet of labels ready for you to stamp your sentiment on, four square and four rectangle embossed white cardstock, a Just Jade Ink Spot, a sheet of Dimensionals, a sheet of Glue Dots and a roll of Cherry Cobbler Linen Thread.
Also enclosed is a stamp set that has nine stamps – six sentiments and three images. There are two sheets of Bronze Foil die-cuts which are JOY, PEACE, and LOVE one of each in English, French and German, plus four tags and an instruction sheet. The beauty of PP Kits is that the projects have already been designed for you but you free to go off piste if you have a mind to do so! 😀
Paper Pumpkin is available in North America as a monthly subscription based product. All the Stampin Up countries in Europe and South Pacific have been asking SU if we can have it too! This is our third global PP and we keep hoping to get them monthly” In the meantime, I’m happy to make the most of the offerings when we get them. Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing with you six cards I made using the products supplied in the kit with the exception of two products! On two of my cards I used some Brass Foil Cardstock and I used some embellishments from my stash too.
This card above is the first card I made as per the instructions apart from the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. The instructions said to take a 20″ length of Cherry Cobbler Linen Thread and wrap it around and adhere down under the sentiment. I used the thread to tie a double bow instead. I added a large Gold Glitter Enamel Dot in the centre of each flower and three of differing sizes in the top right-hand corner and three on the sentiment. My flowers are further apart from the instructions but this just happened! It wasn’t planned!
This is the second card I made as per instructions. The only slight change is that I wrapped my thread around my card twice because I didn’t want such a big skinny bow. I also added three Gold Glitter Enamel Dots in differing sizes on top right-hand and bottom left-hand side. I also stamped inside my cards using Just Jade Ink with the verse from the stamp set.
I hope you’ve enjoyed having a look at the Paper Pumpkin Joy to the World Kit which is available while kits last and at €26/£20 I don’t think they will last long! The kit is amazing value for eight Christmas Cards each with a lined envelope, a great stamp set and an ink spot both of which can be used for future projects. Tomorrow I will share the other six cards I made with my kit!
That’s it from me today and I look forward to sharing my other cards with you tomorrow! In the meantime, take care and stay safe. Happy crafting!
