COASTAL CABANA Fanciest Fancy Fold Card Ever Video!

3D Projects· Christmas Cards· Fancy Fold Cards· Videos

6 Dec

Hello, Crafters.

I’m sorry that I’m “shouting” Coastal Cabana in the title of this post. The card I made for today’s video is in Coastal Cabana but for some reason, I kept calling it Bermuda Bay in the video! This is a big disadvantage of not editing my videos! There is a way of editing without special software but it’s very time-consuming! I didn’t start videoing until 3 pm yesterday afternoon so I didn’t have the time to edit. I had Bermuda Bay on the brain because that was the colour I had been planning to use…………….I wish I had!

My video was inspired by a video shared by Iced Images and she called her card Double Display Gatefold Triple Stepper Shutter Card. It’s a good name for all the features in this card but I’d never be able to remember it so I’ve called it the Fanciest Fancy Fold Card Ever because it’s also a spot-on description of the card and a name I have a chance of remembering!

The reason I was so late making today’s video is that I wasted a day searching YouTube for tutorials showing how to make two different cards I’d like to video. I say wasted because I couldn’t find anything that I could say “It’s easy to make!” and that’s always one of my criteria when looking for suitable projects to share.

I saw the Iced Images video and decided it was a real WOW card but there was also a bonus for me too! Seeing how this card was constructed has taught me how to design my own method to make one of the cards I was looking for on Thursday! I need to work out the new measurements and then to give it a test run! This is where retired cardstock comes in handy!

If it works out as I’m hoping it will, I know what next week’s video is going to be! Watch this space! That’s it from me today. I hope you enjoy today’s video. It may look complicated or difficult but trust me it isn’t. I wish you a very blessed Sunday and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Please take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.

JanB. xx

Now this is my type of card. Although a little intimidating seems to be pretty easy to do. On my list for a special birthday card. Be safe & TYFS

Honestly, Claire, you’ll be surprised how easy it is – but it is time-consuming! I hope you give it a try. I’ll be very surprised if you’re not happy with it! xxx

Many thanks, Margaret. The DSP I used for the red and green snowman card is Heartwarming Hugs. If it hasn’t sold out in your market, it’s still available until 4th January 2021. xx

Boy, I was in luck. I have that dsp in my stash. Bought it last fall. They do still have it here in the US but very low inventory. I just love all your fancy fold cards. I can’t seem to do simple.
