Double Flap Card Video

Fancy Fold Cards· Masculine Cards· Videos

3 Jan

Hello, Crafters.

Today’s video show how to make a really easy fancy fold card! The Zany Zebra card was my prototype and I used some Real Red Designer Series Paper (DSP) from ‘Tis the Season DSP! There are so many generic designs to be found in packs of Christmas themed DSP packs it’s well worth checking out what you can find in your leftovers!

For my masculine video card I didn’t do so well as far as DSP is concerned but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. When I’m making a video demonstrating a card that needs a fair amount of decorating, I find I can’t decide beforehand what images and/or elements I’m going to need. I think this is the third or fourth video recently where I have created a selection of images before starting the video.

With my masculine card, I was exceptionally pleased that I’d thought about preparing four Brass Foil globes as well as the images from the Sailing Home Stamp Set. As I was choosing how to decorate each of three layers, I felt I made the card really pop with the two foil globes – I’d adhered both to circles of Misty Moonlight Cardstock.

If you are one of my customers and haven’t received your copy of the new Spring/Summer Mini Catalogue and the Sale-a-bration Brochure, please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll put another copy in the post. If you would like to be my customer and don’t already have a demonstrator, please email me your postal address and I’ll be happy to send you copies. (Please note: Stampin’ Up! rules only allow me to sell to residents in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany France and Austria. I really am sorry!)

That’s it from me today. I wish you a very blessed Sunday. I look forward to being back with you on Tuesday and in the meantime, please take very good care and stay safe. Happy crafting.

JanB. xx

Could I possibly have the directions for this card?

Hi, Joan. I don’t provide written instructions but if you look in the box below the video you will find all the measurements, score and cut lines, and products used. These are easy to copy and paste. xx

Morning Jan. Another gorgeous card and how funny that I made a few cards exactly the same as this three (3) days ago. I made them by accident – literally – and loved the design so made 4 more. The way you put your colours together really inspires me; just wish I had that talent. XXX Mal

I laughed so hard when seeing your card and thought Jan has made a mistake too. Then I immediately went – NO WAY would Jan make a mistake. Gosh I laughed so hard. And I smiled deeply when reading a comment from Remy I think it was that she too is amazed at how great you are at putting DSP and colours together. That is something I just cant do. Blessings Jan. Jan, I love this masculine double flap card!! It’s lovely! I don’t see the box for the card measurements, scoring, etc. below the video as you mentioned. Am I missing it?

Hi, Debby. To find the box, first of all you must make sure you’re watching the video on YouTube. Next it depends what device you’re watching on. If it’s a laptop or PC, under the video you will see three lines of writing and then you’ll see SHOW MORE. You need to click on it. If you’re watching on a mobile, you’ll see on the right-hand side a down arrow, click on it. I don’t know all instructions for all devices, but I think there is enough here to help you. xx
