Hello, Crafters.
I love this image of balloons from the Prettiest Birthday Stamp Set and have been looking forward to colouring it! After stamping it twice with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and my Stamparatus, I used my Stampin’ Blends to do the colouring as follows: the balloons in Light Purple Posy, Light Rococo Rose and Light Highland Heather; the flowers in Dark Rococo Rose and Dark Granny Apple Green.
I didn’t try any blending on the balloons because each balloon has its own “shine reflection” area which I left unpainted although, I did go over them all using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. Unfortunately, the glitter doesn’t show in the photographs but it does look good in real life!
I die-cut both images using the matching dies called Pretty Birthday Dies. The sentiment WISHING YOU THE HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS IS also from the Prettiest Birthday Stamp Set. I stamped it using my Stamparatus and Gorgeous Grape Ink and then die-cut using another die from the matching set.
Before I started putting my card together, I embossed the top Purple Posy Cardstock (CS) layer using the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder. Once it had been embossed I adhered the top layer to a middle layer of Whisper White CS and then onto a card base of Purple Posy CS. I adhered the two images and the sentiment in place using Dimensionals.
To finish the front of my card I added two Pastel Pearls, i.e. one at each end of the sentiment. I created the small Whisper White bow using a piece of Crinkled Seam Binding. This seam binding is amazingly soft which I found a challenge with my first bow but I started again and second time it went really well. I wasn’t expecting the ribbon to be so very soft! It has been adhered in place with Tombow.
Inside the card I adhered a middle layer of Whisper White CS and a top layer of Purple Posy CS. I chose the vase of flowers image to decorate the top layer. After stamping the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I used my Stampin’ Blends to colour it, as follows: flowers Dark Rococo Rose, leaves Dark Granny Apple Green; vase Dark Purple Posy. After die-cutting the image I adhered it in the bottom right-hand corner of the top layer using Tombow.
I would like to thank all my customers for their patience and understanding about the long delays we are experiencing with deliveries from Stampin’ Up! This is very noticeable for us in the UK because we are so used to receiving our orders within 4 – 5 days! These delays are being caused, largely, by the knock-on effect of Brexit, i.e. new forms and regulations, etc., which has slowed the process down and caused a backlog. UPS are working as hard as they can to get our deliveries up to date and back to normal. Your patience is very much appreciated – thank you. 💖
That’s it from me today. I’ll be back tomorrow and in the meantime, please take care and stay safe! Happy crafting.
