Hello, Crafters.
Today’s video shows how to make a fun pop-up card with part of the pop up on the outside, sort of!! It’s another very easy straightforward card to make and has endless possibilities. For example, I’ve made card with the pop-up on the left-hand side but it could just as easily be made with the pop-up on the right-hand side.
As always I try to give plenty of tips in my videos. I think one of the best tips in today’s video gives suggestions how to hide where the colour from blends has bled through to the reverse of the image; important when the reverse will be visible as in today’s card. In my flower sample card I had die-cut another image of the flowers using Real Red Cardstock (CS) and adhered it on the back of the image so the Real Red CS blended in with the same cardstock that the card base was created in.
The stamp set I used for the flowers on the front of my card is Bloom & Grow and I coloured the flowers using the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend, Dark Shaded Spruce for the leaves and Light Pool Party for the buds. The two poppies inside the card are from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and were die-cut using the matching Painted Labels Dies.
The YOU is from the Forever & Always Stamp Set stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the LOVE is from the matching Always Dies. The dies also include the word ALWAYS and I’m really hoping that this set gets carried forward into the new Annual Catalogue that will be going live on 4th May 2021!
It is now usual for me to supply all the measurements in the box below the video including North American measurements, i.e. inches for A4 cardstock users, metric for A4 cardstock users and inches for users of North American sized cardstock. Although it requires extra effort, it really is absolutely minimal but I know how much it is appreciated so it makes it all worthwhile.
That’s about it from me today. I wish you a very blessed Sunday and I look forward to being back with you on Tuesday. In the meantime, please take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.

Morning Jan. Happy Friends Day belated greetings. Hope your Vals Day has been more than what you expected. Love this card; it is a real show stopper. And easy. Blessings and Stay Safe. XX M
Hi, Mal. Yes, Valentine was what I expected! I expected nothing and received nothing! LOL!! We stopped celebrating Valentine’s Day years ago when restaurants started two sittings. We celebrate our first date instead which is 6th February! Glad you like the corner pop-up card! xx
LOL. You crack me up. But I do like the idea of celebrating your first date. I gave out lots of Val Day cards and treats but not one of my animals gave me a card in return but boy did I get lots of hugs from them though. XXX M
Hugs are priceless! I can’t wait to hug my daughter and my granddaughter! xxx
Hello can I get the measurements for your corner pop up card thank you
Hi, Pat. All the measurements are in the box below the video. To find the box you must be watching the video on YouTube and then it depends what device you’re watching on. If it’s a laptop or PC, under the video, at the bottom of three lines of writing you’ll see SHOW MORE. Click on it and the box will open. If you’re on a phone, you’ll see a down arrow on the right-hand side. Click on it. I hope this helps. xx
Hello I watched it on computer and cell phone and was unable to find any thing sorry but would love to make card

Hi, Pat. Almost every week I’m asked by a subscriber how to open the box where the measurements and products are listed and I’m always happy to send the instructions. Once a subscriber has learned how to reach the box they can always do it. Please ask a family member, a friend or a neighbour to show you how to open the box. Kind regards. JanB. xx
hello sorry we can’t open the box when it isn’t there Have a great day
Hi, Pat. If you’re watching the video via my blog, you’re right, the box doesn’t exist. You must watch the video via YouTube to access the box. Regards, JanB. xx
