I have a very simple masculine card today that would work well as a Father’s Day card as well as a birthday card. I used the spotted bow tie from the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set which I stamped using my Stamparatus and moving the plate down one notch at a time so I had a straight line of five bow ties in a row.
This technique can be used with any image that is less than an inch wide and is another reason – if more are needed! – why our Stamparatus blows all other stamp positioners right out of the water! The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from Ice Cream Corner and I coloured the bow ties using Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The card base is Pear Pizzazz Cardstock (CS) with a middle layer of Mossy Meadow CS. Inside the card I added a top layer of Whisper White CS and a middle layer of Mossy Meadow CS. I had a spare stamped bow tie from something I had been working on yesterday afternoon so I painted it to match the bows on the front of the card, fussy cut it and adhered it in the bottom right hand corner.
The sentiment has been stamped using Mossy Meadow Ink and die cut with the smallest Layering Oval Die and layered on a larger scalloped oval die from the same set. I popped the sentiment up on Dimensionals. This was an amazingly easy and quick card to make and it’s good that it’s quite a bright colour which doesn’t happen too often with masculine cards ……….. but it can be done!!
That’s it from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorrow and in the mean time, take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.
