Split Front Card Video

Birthday Cards· Fancy Fold Cards· Masculine Cards· Videos

14 Mar

Hello, Crafters.

When I shared the Beautiful Moments card the other day I received requests for a video. Before I made the video I made a masculine card using the A Good Man Stamp Set. For all three cards, which I’m calling Split Front Card I’ve used the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper (DSP). It really seems to blend so well with so many different images!

When I made last week’s video where I was using ribbons for iris folding I really struggled holding my cardstock still. I will never know why I didn’t think about using Washi Tape or even better my Stamparatus! This was rectified in today’s video and demonstrates why our stamp position, the fabulous Stamparatus, blows all other stamp positioners right out of the water! I would describe our Stamparatus as a stamp positioner plus!

The sentiment I used on the masculine card is WORLD’S BEST FATHER HAPPY BIRTHDAY which combined the first part from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and the last part which is the one I used on the video card is from the Posted For You Stamp Set. If the HAPPY BIRTHDAY was swapped out, this would make a great Father’s Day card.

The DSP I used on the video card is the same as the design I used on the card I shared on my blog recently. The difference is that on the blog card I used the top part of the ombre design and for the video card I used the bottom part which is largely pink getting brighter and brighter as it gets to the end. If you decide to use a design that’s the bottom half of a 6″ x 6″ pack, remember to cut the largest part first  so that the 5/8″ gets adhered on your card under the larger piece!

The gems I’ve used on the video card are from the pack of Wonderful Gems which has half red and half clear rhinestones that has a sprinkling of gold on top. Before I started the video I painted three of the gems using the Dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend – it worked really well!

That’s about it from me today. I wish you a very blessed Sunday and I look forward to being back with you on Tuesday. Take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.

JanB. xx

Many thanks, Claire. I went through a phase where I showed a masculine card as well but don’t seem to have done it for ages! Lets see if I can stick to it! xx
