Hello, Crafters.
I am overwhelmed by the many, many messages of support I have received following my recent news. Your understanding is very much appreciated and also very encouraging. Thank you š
Last night we had the first Stampin’ Up! online OnTour event. Hopefully the next one will be in person. It was great having five different networking sessions with other demonstrators from the UK. Three of the presentations were different ideas for new products in the new catalogue. It never fails to amaze me with the different ideas some demos come up with.
For today’s card I chose to use the soon-to-be retired Floral Essence Stamp Set. Using my Stamparatus I stamped five each of the large and small solid flower stamps using Rococo Rose Ink and five sets of the triple leaves using Pretty Peacock Ink. Unfortunately there aren’t any dies to go with this set so I sat and fussy cut everything!
Using Thick Whisper White Cardstock (CS), I die-cut three frames using the Stitched Rectangles Dies nos 4 and 5, and adhered the three together. I stamped the BIRTHDAYS ARE THE BEST DAYS, which is from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set, on the top of the inside of one of the frames, using my Stamparatus and Pretty Peacock Ink.
I cut a top layer of the Rococo Rose design from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper and embossed it using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it onto a middle layer of Pretty Peacock CS and then onto a Rococo Rose CS card base. After adhering the frame in the middle of the card front, I adhered the stamped white insert inside the frame.
I took one large and two small flowers and curled them upwards using my bone folder. After putting some Dimensionals on the large flower towards the centre of the flower, I decided to double up on the two outermost Dimensionals to give the flower extra dimension. Next I added two small flowers with one single and one double Dimensional each. Finally, I added three sets of leaves with a selection of single and double Dimensionals.
I painted the flowers and leaves using my Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen and adhered three painted Ladybird Trinkets. During our breakout sessions I shared Billie’s tip about painting the ladybirds and they were thrilled! Like me, they didn’t know it could be done! Inside my card I added a middle layer of Pretty Peacock CS and then a top layer of Rococo Rose CS. I decorated the bottom right-hand corner by adhering a large and a small flower and three leaves which I cut apart. My final step was to paint them all using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.
That’s it from me today. I look forward to being back with you tomorrow and in the meantime please take care and stay safe.
JanB. xx
