Hello, Crafters.
I wasn’t planning on doing a Sneak Peek video but I had received requests to do one and I struggle to say no! Last Wednesday I spent my time getting the new catalogues ready to send out to my customers and my excitement for the new catalogue came alive! Fortunately everything was more or less ready for a video but I went through everything again, e.g. the new Designer Series Paper (DSP), to remind myself about special features.
While I was recording the video – at about 33:00 minutes I was confused with the dies that were with the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Sets. I didn’t think too much about it at the time, but once I’d finished recording I had to double-check the dies and stamps sets! I found that I had labelled the Penned Flower Dies as Inspiring Canopy Dies and vice-versa! I have written a note to this effect immediately under the video.
I think this catalogue is heaps better that last year’s one which I didn’t find particularly inspiring. As I was recording the video and talking about the products, especially the DSP and the dies, I kept having ideas what I could do with the products I was looking at! One of the jobs I had when I was preparing the catalogues to be sent out was to make a bookmark for all my customers that features a sample of the cardstock in all five new In-Colours, lines drawn with the light and dark Stampin’ Blends as well as the Stampin’ Write Markers, plus a stamped image in each of the colours. I have shared a couple of photographs.
When demos were allowed to pre-order, we found that Stampin’ Up! had created some index tabs for the catalogues which were available as a Supply Item, i.e. an aid for us to use in our businesses but not available for customers to buy. I have made tabs before but it’s a chore and to find we could buy them ready made I was over the moon. I was even more excited when I found out that they come as a packet of eight at a very reasonable price! I ordered several packets so I could send a set to each of my customers with their catalogues. The index tabs sold out almost immediately and new supplies won’t be in until the end of May! Unfortunately I found I didn’t order enough for the amount of catalogues I sent out so I’ll wait until I can order more at the end of May and send them to my customers who didn’t receive a set first time round, hopefully with their Happy Mail!
Last week was a good week for me. It started off with a Zoom call with my Nutritional Therapist. She said nothing nasty was found in my tests but I do have some imbalances in my digestive system that can be sorted out with diet and supplements. There’s also another test she’d like me to have done. On Wednesday I had another MRI scan and the results will be seen by my consultant in two weeks. Then on Thursday I went to the hairdressers!! The first visit since last July – almost ten months! Holly was surprised to see how long my hair had grown – the back grows much faster than the sides! She said my hair went down past the back of the chair. I wished I’d asked her to photograph it – before and after!
She started by cutting off about four inches and when she showed me I asked her to cut a bit more, and then another bit more! Altogether she must have cut over six inches off. She levelled off the sides so my hair is now sitting a bit longer than just over my shoulders. Holly did an amazing job and I’ve booked to go again in a couple of month’s time. That’s all my news for now. I hope you have a very blessed Sunday and that your day is calm and relaxing. Take care and stay safe. Happy crafting.

Happy to hear your praise report. Keep well.
Many thanks, Margaret. xx
Like you, my hair grows faster in the back, thicker on the sides and thinner on the sides. At my age, sometimes I would shave it all off and get a wig, but really not. I just go tell my hair dresser do what you can and them when I need a dye, we do that. I can’t stand the grey . Hope you feel better soon.
Hi, Reba. I have a friend who shaves her head and I often think how lovely it would be to get up in the morning, have a shower, wash your hair and done!! xx
Oh excuse me, I meant thinner on the top. Reba.
