Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday, Stampin’ Up! announced that the Clearance Rack has been updated in Europe. A shipment of 2021–2022 Annual Catalogue products arrived at the European distribution centre later than planned, and there is now excess inventory of recently retired items. To reduce this excess inventory, SU has decided to add these products to Europe’s Clearance Rack sooner than originally planned.
These items will be available in the Clearance Rack section of the online store starting in the UK on 12th July 2022 at 11pm and 13th July 2022 at midnight in EU. Additionally, some products that weren’t originally included in the recent Last Chance offer, will be added to the Clearance Rack with a discount! Please note that these items are only available while supplies last. Please note you will still earn Sale-a-bration (SAB) gifts on products purchased from the Clearance Rack. Also, if you are planning to take advantage of SU’s special new joining offer during SAB, you can choose products from the Clearance Rack as part of your £130/175€ free products you’re able to choose for your £99/129€ Starter Kit fee! Please email me if you have any questions: janb@janbcards.com.

These are the two sentiments I found to stamp on the two bookmarks I’d put in the card as a small gift for Tom
Early evening last Sunday, 10th July hubby and I drove to Heathrow Airport and checked into the Aeroport Hotel in terminal 3. We had a 7 am flight on Monday 11th July to Gibraltar for a five day holiday! After dropping our luggage off in our hotel room, we went down to the Arrivals for a snack before having an early night so we were ready for a silly o’clock start in the morning! When I came out of the bathroom after getting myself ready for bed, hubby said he’d just received an email from British Airways (BA) cancelling our flight to Gibraltar! Needless to say our first reaction was to feel gutted! We chatted over our options and decided to go back home!

I measured inside the lid of the box and inserted a piece of the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper. I used the same design that I used as the back layer inside the card.
We discussed various options including the possibility of going down to the New Forest and staying for a few days. Eventually, hubby said he wanted to write this week off because he needed time on Monday to sort out getting our money back. It didn’t take him long to arrange for the cost of the flight and hotel to be refunded (it will be refunded in full, in 3-4 days). Hubby has also submitted a claim to BA for our Heathrow car park fees (no refund given from Meet & Greet company) and the Aeroport Hotel (again no refund given). The good news is that we have booked the same trip later in the year, same hotel, different airline and flying from our local airport which is Gatwick. We’ve decided we’ll have a cab there and back so no parking to worry about next time!

I appreciate that not everyone is on Facebook, so I’m sharing this photograph of the inside of the birthday card I received from hubby! xx
On Monday evening, I suggested that we go out for the day yesterday, then I’d get back to “work” today and hubby can look after the garden and do any other jobs he wants to get done. Yesterday we had a fabulous day at the Sculpture Park in Churt, Surrey. This is a two minute YouTube video which gives a brief overview of the Sculptor Park including some aerial photography. The Park is like a huge outdoor showroom because all the sculptors can be purchased – there are over 800 of them! On each of the name plates there is a QR code which can be scanned by your phone and which will take you to that particular piece on the company’s webpage!
When you see my video this coming Sunday, you will hear me say words to the effect of “I’m recording this video on my birthday and by the time it goes live on the 17th July, I’ll be back from my holiday! LOL! On the positive side, my goal is now to make another video this week so I am always one jump ahead! This is a position I have always wanted to be in! Let’s see how long I can hold it.

Called “Final Throes of Dragon Tableaux” created by Jim Poolman. It weighs 18.9 tonnes and has used 152,000 whole & cut horseshoes!
I’m going to add some more photographs from yesterday’s visit to the Sculptor Park in the Photo Gallery. I’ll be back with you at the weekend. Please take care and stay safe. Happy crating.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dear Jan!
Unfortunate (but not surprising) cancellation. What good use you made of the extra time – and still with a trip to anticipate! Love the unique sculptures – and the birthday card!!
Your creations continue to inspire my own crafting (CASing). Thank you for sharing and teaching!!
Many thanks, Billie. My glass is always half full so it didn’t take long to accept the disappointment and move on! As you say, we still have our holiday to look forward to! 😀 xx
Jan, I’m so sorry you and Tom did not get to enjoy your anticipated holiday. Your ensuing attitude about the whole adventure is, however, to be admired. God bless you, Jan, Estes Park, Colorado.
Many thanks, Jan. We both realised there was a reason why this happened and hopefully, next time will be the right time tight! (The birthday card was for Tom, my daughter’s father-in-law). xxx
Jan, I always love your cards. They arw wonderful. Someday I would love to come to England.
If I ever make it there it would be fun to see you! Sorry about your vacation. I hope you have better luck next time.
Many thanks, Barbara. We ere gutted initially but we both accept that these things happen for a reason. God-willing, we’ll get to Gibraltar later in the year. xxx
Dear Jan,
Very sorry to hear about your cancelled trip. Yesterday I read that Heathrow Airport has told airlines to stop booking flights through that airport. Too many cancellations due to staff shortages. Thank you for sharing the fabulous photos of the sculptures. I do hope you will be able to enjoy your anticipated trip.
I always enjoy your outstanding cards and videos.
Many thanks, Joan. I have heard three different reasons for the cancellation of so many flights, I’m not sure what the truth is!! But whatever the reason, it wasn’t part of God’s plan for us to go to Gibraltar at that time! Hopefully, the situation will be different with our new booking for later in the year! Many thanks for your continued support; it is truly appreciated. xxx
