Hello, Crafters.
I’m sorry I missed posting my blog this morning but life got in the way and I forgot what day it was! Earlier today I made a Welcome card for a new family who moved into the house over the road. The previous day I had been working with the Wonderful World Stamp Set and the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. These two stunning products are available as a level two Sale-a-bration gift until 3st August 2022, while stocks last!
On last week’s video no. 648: 3 Cards in 1 Card I showed how to colour the three floral images in the stamp set using Stampin’ Write Markers. I used the same technique to create the image for the front of today’s card and also the image I stamped on the inside of the card. The flowerheads are in Blackberry Bliss and the stems and leaves are in Pear Pizzazz.
The flower image was die-cut with the largest circle die in the Beautiful Shapes Dies which embosses a decoration around the outer circle. I adhered the image onto a Blackberry Bliss CS circle I had die-cut using the no. 7 straight cut die from the Layering Circle dies. For the sentiment I used WELCOME from the Garden Birdhouse Stamp Set and stamped it onto a scrap of Basic White CS using Blackberry Bliss Ink.
After I die-cut the sentiment using the no. 1 Deckled Rectangle Die, I adhered it to a piece of Blackberry Bliss CS which measured 1⅛” x 2½”. I used the regular size C6/A2 card (measurements below my signature) and embossed the Basic White Cardstock (CS) top layer using the beautiful Gingham Embossing Folder. Next I adhered it to a middle Blackberry Bliss CS layer and added it to the front of my card. Then I adhered the image and the sentiment in position using Dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the same flower image in the bottom right-hand corner of the Basic White CS top layer. After I had adhered this layer to a middle layer of Blackberry Bliss CS layer, I adhered them both inside the card. I decorated the front of the card by adding 3 Brass Brushed Butterflies plus a small bow I made using a piece of retired Blackberry Bliss Ribbon.
A very quick and easy card to make with a great result! Happy crafting!

Dear Jan,
I saw a video you made a hundred years ago & I don’t know the name of it. I think it was used in conjunction with the awesome light posts set of which I know not its name as well. My question is, what is the stamp set with the cutout, FRONT & BACK, of a snowman & maybe another like design called. I’ve seen a set with like images but, much to my dismay, its not the one you have.
If you can remember the name of the set & dies would you please let me know?
Love your videos & can’t wait to see what’s to come ‘rond next.
Be well. Be safe. Keep on being wonderful.
Sincerely,
Mona Nebel,
Oh my! I didn’t think my address & phone # would be exhibited in the post.
Is there anything I can do to remove it? : /
Thanks,
Mona Nebel
Hi, Mona. I’ve edited your message and removed your address and telephone number. Please double-check that they are no longer visible from your side. xx
Hi, Mona. The video you refer to is no.339 – 3 x Christmas Lamppost Cards! The lamppost stamp set was called Brightly Lit (144807) and the matching dies were called Christmas Lamppost Thinlets Dies (144675). The snowman I used on one of the cards was from a stamp set called Seasonal Chums which was available as Clear-Mount (144948) or Wood-Mount (144945) and the matching dies were called Seasonal Tags Framelets Dies (144685). Unfortunately, all these products are retired but you may be able to find someone selling one or more of them. I hope this is helpful. xx
