Merry Christmas 2022

Christmas Cards

24 Dec

Hello, Crafters.

Many thanks for all the messages of love and support I have received since I announced at the end of July that I was stepping back from making videos, blogging etc. due to ongoing health issues.  I’m truly grateful for them all. I’m still recovering from the major surgery I had at the end of October, with tiredness being the biggest problem at the moment! Full recovery can take 3 – 4 months so I need to be patient!

The Christmas cards I’m sharing are the only cards I’ve made this year! Details how they were made and measurements are below.

I was inspired by a video made by Frenchie aka France Martin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phEL3kDEi5s. The video includes another card using the second main image in the Peace to You Stamp Set – 159776. NOTE: this stamp set is retiring on 4th January 2023 and may now be unavailable. The US measurements can be found via this link: https://wp.me/pa4wJA-d4H

These are A4 cardstock measurements:

Starry Sky Cardstock – card base 8¼” x 5¾” (21cm x 14.6cm)

Basic White Cardstock – middle layer 3⅞” x 5½” (9.9cm x 14cm)

Basic White Cardstock  – layer inside card 3¾” x 5⅜” (9.6cm x 13.7cm)

Starry Sky Cardstock – layer for image 2⅞ x 4½” (7.2cm x 11.3cm)

Basic White Cardstock – image layer 2⅝” x 4¼” (6.6cm x 10.7cm)

Other products I’ve used but not used by Frenchie:

God’s Peace Stamp Set – 150479 retired

Night in Bethlehem Stamp Set – 145282 retired

Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels – 158987

Timeworn Type 3D  Embossing Folder – 156505

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very peaceful and happy Christmas. God bless you all.

I will send another update in the New Year.

Much love,

JanB. xx

Oh Jan, I had no idea. I haven’t been around much, but had noticed that I had not seen any new videos in quite some time & that’s not you. I wish you the very best of health & with the help of the Lord He will guide you through and make you well again. I really miss your projects a great deal. But I do go back & re-watch and make your cards. I shall place you on my list of prayers I have going at the moment. Hope you & hubby have a great Christmas/Holiday Season. Thank you for this update. Hugs

Hi, Rosemary. I know this stamp set has sold out in the Europe market. It may still be available in the North America and/or South Pacific markets. It retires on 5th January 2023. If you’re on Facebook, you could register to the ISO (in search of) groups which applies to retired Stampin’ Up! products only. This is the link for the UK group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/315784885548196. I imagine there must be similar groups in other countries. I hope you are able to get a copy of this stamp set; I think it’s one of the best from SU! Wishing you a healthy and happy new year. xxx
