I hope you’ve all had a great weekend.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to post a blog on Friday but last week I had two hospital appointments which were both related to my second quarterly check up. On Thursday I had my blood tests and a CT scan and on Friday I had an appointment with my consultant. I’m really thrilled to tell you that I have been given the all-clear again! To say that hubby and I were both over the moon is putting it very mildly!
We had an early start today as I had an 8.45am appointment to see my dermatologist because I had a “thing” on my shoulder. After checking it over very closely he said it was harmless – actually he told me what it is actually called but I just heard him say it’s nothing to worry about! 😀 I have a few appointments coming up in the three or four weeks but nothing to cause any alarm! Praise the Lord!
Today’s card is one of the cards I made at Amanda’s latest cardmaking class. She has made a video which you can see here Amanda’s Crafted Cards ACC68 Birdhouse Card Flight & Airy. The measurements Amanda gives on her video are suitable for a tent card and below, I will give the measurements I normally give for a regular side fold card. The photographs shown here show my card class which I stepped-up a bit. I used it as a New Home card for our 22-year old grandson Stephen who has just bought his first flat! SPECIAL NOTE: the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (DSP) is only available as a Free Gift for a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration (SAB) which ends on 29th February 2024.
I used my Cloud Punch to add three trimmed/cut clouds to the sky. As I wanted this as a New Home card and I didn’t have a Welcome to your New Home sentiment, I chose Congratulations which is from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. This isn’t something I do often but on this occasion I decided to use Google to find a verse for inside the card. Although this meant it would be computer-generated, it also gave me the opportunity to includes Stephen’s name.
Before I printed the verse, I decorated the inside of the card in the same way I did for my Countryside Inn Bunny Birthday card which I shared with you on 27th January 2024. This time, I also added a larger fussy-cut bird from the fabulous Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper. I added a personal greeting on the back of the card.
As you can see from these photographs, I’m still trying to sort out what is causing the bad quality. I have now bought two photo boards, with clips, plus a special spotlight, although I still suspect it’s my camera! As well as the measurements for s side-fold card, I’ll also put a list of products used to create this great New Home Card below. I think it would also make a great New Baby card.
That’s it from me today. I hope to be able to share another card this coming weekend. I hope you have a great week.

PRODUCTS USED: I haven’t listed the stamp set I used as it is retired but any one-line sentiment of your choice will work. I have included the Deckled Circle Dies because the doorway to the birdhouse was die-cut with a 1″ circle die and the smallest die in this set is 1″. I hope this helps.
